Setup Instruction for Personal Short URL

Before reading setup instruction, please be aware that why you need your own snip url servive. http://www.blogya.in/snip-url-is-bad-for-blogs

1)Download the compressed file.

2)Uncompress it.

3)Create a folder in your server with a single letter name: 's'
Let the name of the folder be 's'. It should be 's'.

4)Upload the uncompressed files to folder 's' through your ftp.

5)Set access Permission as '777' to files counter.txt and snip.php

Now open yourdomain.com/s in the browser. Your personal Short/Tiny url script is ready.
Paste your long your in the text box and submit.
You can see a new short link with your domain.
Delete the 'www' part if you feel it occupy some space.

Paste the your snip url in twitter or any other services.

You have inbound links to your domain.
