Watch Phone may be the next tsunami in mobile phone market. There are advantages and disadvantages of using watch phone.

There are hypothesis for using mobile phone.

We keep the phone in our shirt pocket normally. There are sayings that keeping mobile phone close to chest may harmful to chest. Second, while talking long, we keep the mobile phone close to head, brain. Mobile phone waves might be harmful to brain.

There is no proof to above two practices, somebody believe and some body don't.

Anyway watch phone would be a good solution for such hypothesis. In watch phone, we protect our chest and head from mobile phones.

If watch phone is combined with Automatic Blood Pressure checker, it will be a multipurpose hand held device. At any time you can talk as well as check your BP. Before discussing sensitive matters, you can check your BP. The same might be programmed to check your BP periodically and automatically call the doctor if the BP is abnormal.

Right now, watch phone does not have the feature to check Blood Pressure. I assume it may come in the feature.

If the watch phones are made as water proof like samsung marine, it can be used by swimmers, they can speak while swimming.

The resistence to tear and wear should be high for watch phones. Since it is tied in hand/wrist there are chances it gets scratches on its surface.

The watch phone may come with a high power bluetooth communicator. Apart from tied at wrist, this phone has other general features of normal mobile phone.

Currently there is no much competition in mobile phone market for watch phone and it has not caught the craze in India. It may catch the craze in the future.
