Sports become pressure...

People play games, sports because its a pleasure to them. A workout, sense of satisfaction, and a pleasure is ingredients of all games. But when sports become your career, then the first thing you loose is pleasure. New thing added is, social identification and status.

When you play for your interest you are not identified by the game you play. When you are identified by the game you play, you loose the pleasure of playing the game. Moreover, your economy and career become the sport you participate, then you loose everything. It is your business. Then the real spirit which take to reach such level will be lost.

You play like going to job or 'working'. Not like how you play with your spirit before world start tagging you with the sport. You performance will be lost, you need to do dirty politics to keep your position even after you loose your fitness and form to continue as a professional sportsman.

This is well explained by analyzing Indian Cricket. When Kapil and Gavaskar dominating the Indian cricket, the level of pressure they have for playing is very less or nothing against the pressure having by Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid. These three batting mastreo were dominating the Indian cricket more than a decade. They become billionaire and their next 70 generation may live without doing any financial activity. But what is the output as Team. Nothing. They participated in 3 world cups but failed to bring the cup to India.

They took care of their personal records and maintaining their 'Image'. But they did not clicked as a team. Of course, they are the best players of their contemporaries. None can challenge them individually. But as a team they failed. Because, cricket is not sports to them. They may have such feeling when they entered into Indian Cricket. But later cricket becomes their business. ‘Corporate Idols’ to sell and market products and services. They have to play to maintain their corporate image to keep the 'business' going. The amount of pressure they received from their business partners is beyond measurement. They failed many times because of the pressure and expectation they received. The main reason for such a pressure is ‘Corporate’ money flowing into ‘cricket business’ for advertising and marketing.

These three batting genius succumbed to the various pressure and politics and failed to succeed as a 'Team'. Now cricket may be Stress to them.

Whatever may be the individual performance, Win makes the difference. Cricket is a team work. To win, whole team has to come up. Not as individuals.

The Twenty-20 world cub won by India led by Dhoni and few freshers. In this team expect Yuraj and Dhoni rest of team members are not 'hired' by corporate and 'hunted' by media. They played without any pressure. Because, still they are with their spirit to play cricket. Still cricket is a sport they like to play, not business to earn money. So they all played their natural game without worrying about anything.

They do not have any 'image' in the society to maintain. They played with less pressure or no pressure from 'corporates' and 'medias'. Moreover there was no 'politics' in the team. The result is won the world cup (twenty-20) after 24years.

Let us pray for the corporates and media should not disturb this new wave of youngsters like Sachin, Dravid, and Ganguly. Let them play for their interest. Let them take the success and failure light hearted. Let them enjoy the game without any 'tagging'. Moreover let us stop giving much attention to cricket and look at other sports too. Let them play for their pleasure and not by pressure.

Let cricket becomes a pleasure not only to audience but to players too.
