Sachin Tendulkar - Man of Character

Everybody knows Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest batsman ever walked on the planet.

But he has another specialization. Very few can aware of it. He is the Man of Character and Attitude as a sportsman and human being. No other sportsman has such high quality character like Sachin.

Every sportsman has skill, talent, etc. They may get an immediate and short time success and popularity in their career and soon loose form and disappear as nonentity. But Sachin stands above the time. It is not because of his skill but because of his character.

No other sportsman has such high level tolerance, calmness, patient, being positive in all circumstance like Sachin Tendulkar. Not only in play ground but in social life too. He is the highly praised cricketer in the world. But he is also highly criticized cricketer in the world.

He is standing above as a sportsman because of his character to balance and tolerate such criticism.

He is criticized not because he is playing bad or out of form. But it is the people's and so called 'critics' expectation on him is high. We expect him to excel in all the game.

He is just as another sportsman; he has his good and bad days. But we expect him to be successful in all the game. We do not treat him as normal sportsman, we see him as 'super human' playing the cricket. When he fails we can not tolerate it, we do not accept it as 'Its all in the game', rather we take it as serious debacle and start questioning his skills and career.

He is the man of character and has strong mind out of all cricketers in the world. He is not only tackling the bowlers, he is managing psychological pressure mounted by high expectation and bad criticism. No cricketer has such managerial power to social pressure and bad criticism like Sachin Tendulkar.

Previous generation cricket fans and cricket history knows 'small batsman - Kolkatta - rotten eggs'. We know a famous Indian cricketer crying while millions are watching his interview, which he was unable to withstand against social criticism. We can remember an Internal Cricketer weeping during the match on the ground itself, he is also compared with Sachin seldom.

But Sachin bears all bad times both his career and social life with character and positive attitude. He is the greatest batsman not only because of his skill, but because of his character and attitude. Sachin never retaliate the critics, but he has answers to then through his batting.

He stands above the all cricketer by his character and love towards the people and even accepts the critics and mistakes of umpire as 'human is to err'.

Another great attitude, which is still propelling him is; It seems to be that he is not having an over expectation with his performance. Of course he works hard to improve and learn all the time. He plays as per the situation demands and trying to make out the best out of the context. People expect more from him, but he seems to be not affected by other's over expectation. He seems to accept himself as how he is. He seems to accept his failures and success just as a sport.

There are many good player succumbed to psychological pressure mounted by over expectation by themselves and society. Their career seems to be like a bubble. They could have elevated themselves to greatest from good, if they could handle the stress of high expectation.

Sportsman mind is free and energetic during their debut, but piled with unnecessary things when they become popular. But still Sachin seems to be a debutant in attitude and has hunger for more. It is the character and attitude decides the career's life span not the skill.

Sachin succeeds in his character and attitude. He has the longest career life span, not only because of his skill but for his character too.
