Recession brings Budget Homes for the Indian Middle class section. We can not think of a flat for less than Rs. 10 lakh or Rs 15 Lakh in Indian Metros. A living nest for Rs.8 lakhs is available now. Around Rs 15 lakhs, we can think of a 700+ sqft double bedroom house in Indian Metros. After recession, there are no takers for high budget apartments/flats. We all know how the construction and realty industry stagnated. So as per survive the fittest logic, builders have to adapt to this recession hit period, and make business accordingly. The result is Indianised version of Studio Apartments. Budget flats started appearing in Indian metros. Budget homes caught fire in middle class market. Recently in Chennai, Annai Builders has 'tsunai like response' for their Smart Home project. All the units were sold out on the same day when bookings opened. The construction has yet to begin but bookings are completed. This is the fire of budget homes. The price is seducing. This is unbelievable when builders are waiting and believing for takers to buy their fully constructed units. There are ads appearing as new flats ready for immediate occupation, which means construction is completed but no takers yet. Fully functional home at affordable cost is the mantra to keep the money flowing in housing sector. Not only in Chennai, throughout Indian metros, Budget flats are moving. Ads and news about budget flats are appearing in Kolkatta, Noida, Mohali, Chandigarh. Flats for less than 10 lakhs and 15 lakhs is the out put of recession.
