Pituitary Gland
The king of all glands is pituitary gland, which is situated just below the spinal card. There are two functions for pituitary. One type of hormones secreted by pituitary gland directly deals with all the cells of the body, this controls the growth and replacement of the cell. Second type of hormones secreted by pituitary gland deals only with other glands. It does not react with other body cells apart from sub-ordinate glands. This is an signal to the rest of the glands to when to start, slowdown, and stop the secretion. Pituitary's second type of hormone is nothing but a signal to other glands about their production. Pituitary doesn't give signals by its own. When to give signals or secretes hormones to stimulate other glands, is not decided by pituitary. The ultimate decider is hypothalamus. Hypothalamus is positioned above the pituitary gland. Hypothalamus releases 'release factor'. The passage of release factor directly linked with Pituitary gland. Release factor reaches the pituitary gland and tells what signals to whom has to be given. Pituitary gets the order from hypothalamus through release factor. Signal hormones are produced by Pituitary Gland: In the internet Email is sent to the all clients belong to different server. Only a client with matching Email address can access it. There are ten candidates are waiting in a hall. A name is called from outside of the room. Only the candidate having the called name responds to the call, not others. Signal hormones are following to identify and stimulate their target glands in the same manner explained above. State of the art Communication is happening in our body among our Glands and hormones. Email, routers, networking and all communication technologies are already existing and happening in our own body. Nature the finest scientist. We are just re-inventing wheel. There are countless hormones and glands are in the human body. Glands are the hormone producing cells. Few Glands have been discovered. They are, pituitary gland, thyroid gland, pancreatic gland, adrenal gland, testis gland for males, ovary gland for females. Testis and Ovary produces male and female hormones respectively.
