Muslims and Wet Dreams

| |

Why Muslims have to avoid wet dreams?

As per Quran, there are instructions for how to do Salat or Contact Prayers. One of the rule is you should not go to prayer directly after releasing the sperm. After releasing the sperm take bath to purify you. After taking bath do your contact prayer.

The way of releasing sperm can be any way. Direct intercourse with your spouse, masturbution, and wet dreams.

Once your sperm released you should take bath before going to prayers.

If you have wet dream in the night, the difficulty is you can not do your morning prayer straight away. You have to take bath. Without taking bath you can not do your contact prayers if you have wet dreams.

If you slept neatly, taking bath is not a compulsion to do your contact prayer in the morning.

So those who practice contact prayers regularly has to check for wet dreams before starting the prayer in the morning.

So wet dreams add the difficulty/compulsion of taking bath in the early morning for doing Salat. No need to say the shivering of winter season in the early morning.

Other than the compulsion to take bath, wet dreams is not a transgression or sin. Quran has not mentioned anything about wet dreams.

If so please let us know the verse number and sura. We can correct ourself.
