Lava Mobile Phones can capture the chinese mobile phone Indian market. After capturing the korean mobile phone market, it can extract its share from 1st class Indian mobile phone consumers. It seems to be a chinese phone with IMEI number with a price slots lower than Chinese model phones.

Moreover it does after sale support(?), where chinese model phones neve give after sale support. The arrivel of branded low cost mobile phones in Indian market will definitely raise the basic features of low cost last quality mobile phone.

The low and middle class consumers can be benefited by the second class branded phones. The price of Lava's KKT 22 is less than the chinese iphone I bought couple of years back

During the 'second sale' of lava mobile phones, the prices will be slashed down to Rs 1000 or 1500. So around Rs.1000 irrespective of quality, multi purpose and multi featured mobile phones can be purchased.

At the same time, leading mobile show rooms may not promote the sales of Lava or any second class branded mobile phones. The margin for selling a Lava phone and first class branded model will have its own difference. Mobile showrooms prefer to sell mobile phones where they have more margin.

The success of Lava mobile phones or any other mobile phone for middle class market is depending upon how they overcome the showroom's margin barrier.

Without retailer's interest it is difficult to move a product unless they have their own retail outlet like Reliance.

How successful is it to sell second class branded mobile phones through Internet? No idea. So far I have not seen any online advertisement for second class branded mobile. I am not able to see the official website of Lava mobile phones.

There are few second class branded mobiles are already in the market, but LAVA is the first company to show advertisement in TV. I mistakenly understood their advertisement as Battery ad. Later I notice it is a mobile phone ad. I have seen advertisements of First class branded mobile phones. Lava is the first one to reach the air through TV. Let us see how its progress.

Indian consumer market is a highly flexible market. Anything can be sold at different price ranges. Mobile phones are not exception. A mobile phone could be purchased at Rs.2000 and Rs.20000 with the same features with difference in quality.

The mobile phone features I expect:

2) FM
3) MP3 player
4) GPRS
5) Connectivity with Computer
6) Torch light
7) 1GB card
8) Bluetooth
9) Digital Camera
10) Snake Game

If any mobile phones with the above features available around Rs.3000 or less, I will purchase it. I assume Lava's KKT 22 comes with such features.

Lesser the price, more often I change my mobile phone. Higher the price, I seldomn change my mobile phone.
