Prostitution is a Sin.

This is one of the hypothesis prevailing in society about prostitutes. Religion, Social Godfathers, Clergy man and everybody condemn prostitution as sin. Even though it is a sin, it is still thriving in the society. If it is really a sin as mentioned by the religion or religious people, Satan defeated God almost when Civilization evolved in humanity. So the game is over between God and Satan, and there is no need for God to run this(earth) show.

Prostitution is Anti-Social.

Prostitution spoils the society. Prostitution destroys families. Prostitution spreads disease and blah blah.

Actually, the rape rate of today would have been more if there is no prostitution. All men are not capable of flirting with women or they do not know how 'setup' a woman or they do not have 'chance' or even chance is given, miss it due to fear. They have to get married or go to prostitutes to ventilate their sexual stress. Otherwise, those inferior males will engage in sexual harassment or trying to seduce other's wife. Prostitution reduces the sexual harassment cases by and large.

Prostitution Spreads AIDS

AIDS virus is not created by having sex. AIDS virus is spreading through the fluid transmission happening during the intercourse. Prostitution does not create AIDS. But prostitution spreads AIDS to a men/women if they have intercourse with an AIDS patient. The AIDS patient may be a customer who avail the service of prostitute or prostitute herself.

In short, Fluid transmission between two person, is required to transport the HIV virus. Fluid transmission is happening in various ways, but in prostitution/sex it is very high.

Prostitutes are Earning More.

Of course they earn more but spend more too. They have to incur cosmetic and fashion related expense to wean customers and keep active in business.

In general, prostitutes do not act independently. They work under a don or some experienced prostitutes. They also need to maintain brokers and referrals. So the amount earned has to be shared with many layers. The end worker receives less than the actual business value. They have to bribe the legal section too.

Prostitution is related to sex only.

Prostitution is everywhere. Anybody who does something, which they do not like to do, but have to do it for some benefit or income, the act considered as prostitution. Everybody in this world from top to bottom, at least once, do something but we do not want to do it, but have to do it for a return. If you are continuing a job, but you do not want to do, but you are continuing, because you have to, then you are a prostitute.

The present world is so corrupted to have prostitution.

Prostitution is the oldest business in the business history. Even before the Jesus or Buddha it exists. If prostitution was not existing in their time, they did not need to say about it. They said about it, because it was there.
