Fake Resumes

| |

Fake resumes is an important issue in recruitment. Interviewer should be very vigil to screen out fake resumes.

I do not know, what is the reason behind fake resumes. Expecting high salary, need for an entry or anything else. But the candidate is in urgent or under some pressure.

They are not confident. They are not ready to accept them self as they are. Any how they can cheat the interviewer but they can not cheat the work. To carry out the work real skill is needed not the fake skill.

During the work, if the management find the candidate is a fake then candidate will be fired. So the Fakers have tension and fear during work. They have to luckily settle down in the job, otherwise no way.

Being honest at least to ourself is a straight and tough path, but brings success with peace slowly but steadily.

We should be aware of our strength and weakness. Being truthful at interviews is good for the both end. Surviving in the job is more important than succeeding in interview.

Few years back when I was at my early thirty trying for a job. I was not working regularly or not at all working in my twenties. Because of my age or late entry I might have prepared fake resume with 'more experience' to fill the gape. But I denied to sell myself for more than what I was worthy off.

During the interview I quoted very low salary. Interviewer asked why I was quoting such a small salary. I explained my lack of experience and my ability to pickup quickly if opportunity given to me. I did not like to get into trouble in work due to high expectation at both ends.

I was so relaxed in the entry level position. I worked like anything, within three months my salary was hiked 60%. Now I am drawing 700%(+) higher than first salary. I reached this within 3 to 4 years of span.

Now I am a interviewer. I often finds candidates with fake resumes. I feel pity at their ignorance. They could have been genuine, approach for entry level or junior level post. By learning and gaining real time experience, they can reach high levels.

Being honest as possible you can in this 'kaliyuga' is a tough but guaranteed way to success.

Is this your experience or one of your friend's experience. Often people are writing with their nick-name.I think, this is another trend - writing personal things (like one of my friend's experience...) to public.

First of all I have to thank you for reading BOGAR's blog. Most of them are his experience and happened in life. When I was in my friend house, I met a guy who was a friend to my friend like me. That guy asked me about GPRS and I shared my technical things with him. At once, he updated his resume. Basically he is interested on Data Mining but whatever people talked about, he would update his resume. Eventhough he has very good knowledge and stuff, he could not get job. After reading this fake resume, i can remember that guy. I found the reason why he did not get the job.
