Today morning something flashed in my mind. A web application for apartment management. It includes accounting, staffing, vacancy, and house vacant status, etc. Many ideas poping. Keep poping like creating each flat as separate entity, creating income resource both dynamic and fixed. Creating expense liabilities both dynamic and fixed. Both income and expense can be cycled for every month.

User management is there. User type can be house owner, tenant, staff. Each flat have a permanent contact person. Each resident is associated with a flat. Flat is a separate entity with its own actions and states. Tenant is a separate entity with its own actions and status. Income, expense, staffing are separate entities. These are recurring for each month.

If a flat is empty, not occupied by tenant then it need not be included in monthly cycle, or this can be controlled by Admin.

Access to the portal is restricted. Only authenticated users can access. Users are provided with login details(username/password). Everything is logged. Page views, actions are completely logged. Entries can be made by office bearers or their representative(staff). Other normal users can view the details. Visitor stats is done like IP tracking.

Social networking activities like forum, blog, news letters can be included for residents of the apartment. Anything can be discussed like 'Two car parking allowed for one resident', 'Pets problems', 'water logging', and etc. Selection of office bearers(Association members) can be automated using polls.

Association/monthly maintenance fees can be collected in online as 'Recurring' payment from paypal or any other payment gateways,no need to tap the doors of everybody at the beginning of month.

Social networking for apartment alone will be good break through. This is not yet tried in internet as on date Which I feel. It will be a good concept since apartments with more than 1000 or 2000+ residents are coming in the metro cities all over the world. Many apartments can try it to have interaction with their residents. Its usage among residents will go beyond imagination.

Since this is web application, any residents can access to any details immediately, no need to ask the anybody. Monthly balance sheet will be blasted to residents email address and their profile page.

With good marketing experience this may penetrate all apartments or it can be released as freeware too. Maintenance and customization can be brought into business.

This type of thoughts and functional specification for online apartment web application stroming in the mind after having an dream of becoming office bearer(association member) in my apartment. As usual the scope and vision of both online and offline marketting emerged and visualised.

I do not know whether this is a good idea or another hook. I am not sure but I decided not to be hooked by anything. Feverishness or obsessiveness about the idea will kill the idea.

If I start the implmentation, I should not get stressed out by completing it quickly. This type of completeness stress or urgency to finish will kill the idea any time. Anything needs its own time too get completed. This seems to be a medium size project. Part time work may need 8 to 12 months.

I remember many times in the past, I rush to complete or early as possible, but it created 'completeness' stress. I got feverished by the project, I undertook. Then I stop the project or de-scope many things. A sense of urgency always disturb quality and quantity.

I decide I should not have completeness stress. This can be a big hit if I allow things grow on its own. It may be even a cloud of thoughts and neven come up in action. Many ideas are just cloud of thoughts never get sufficient heat see it in action. I will not start this project if I get completeness stress.
